About Liverpool Methodist District

The Methodist Church: The Methodist Church emerged out of the work of John and Charles Wesley in the 18th Century. It is active in 138 countries around the world. Over 200,000 people attend Methodist services each week in the UK. The calling of the Methodist Church is to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission. Read more here.

The Liverpool District: The Liverpool District of the Methodist Church consists of more than 90 churches in nine local Circuits and is located on the North West Coast of England, lying between the River Dee and the River Ribble. At its heart is the great city of Liverpool, centre of music and culture, learning, sport and enterprise.
